USG is the student voice at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø at Trumbull. We work to create meaningful opportunities for involvement, support student organizations, and help make our campus an even better place to learn and grow.

What Does USG Do?
- Provides funding to student organizations for educational events and activities
- Serves as a bridge between students and campus administration
- Plans and hosts events that bring our campus community together
- Represents student interests in important discussions and decisions

- Responsibilities & Expectations for USG Members
- Be enrolled in at least six credit hours at the Trumbull campus during both fall and spring
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Meet with the USG advisor for a semester evaluation
- Hold at least three office hours each week to stay accessible to students and campus partners
- Follow all USG rules, policies, and procedures
- Serve on University committees as needed
- Participate in the Allocations process when requested
- Attend required leadership training workshops
- Attend all briefings, USG meetings, and required events
- Understand that three unexcused absences may trigger a review for possible removal
- Participate in campus and community events
- Support fellow USG members and contribute to a positive team environment
- Help oversee the USG budget and projects
- Review and update USG bylaws and position descriptions as needed
- Maintain confidentiality regarding University committees
- Use the official USG email for all USG-related communication
- Check Kent State email at least every 48 hours and respond promptly
- Meet with the Dean at least once per academic year
- If you belong to a group requesting funds, you must step out during the discussion and cannot vote on that allocation
