Kent State Salem's City Center received the 2016 Sunflower Award from the Salem Beautification Committee through the Salem Chamber of Commerce for the third consecutive year. The award is given based on the upkeep of the building, including clean windows, neatly maintained entryways and sidewalks, as well as an aesthetically-pleasing facade.
